SCDOT to close Lorick Road Bridge over North Branch for repairs

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SCDOT will close and detour the Lorick Road bridge over North Branch in Richland County for repairs.
The closure will begin on January 5, 2026, and is expected to reopen on January 22, 2026.
SCDOT officials say these dates may change depending on weather conditions.
Additionally, Lorick Road will be open to local traffic only, except at the bridge site.
Drivers are asked to slow down and pay attention to signs and crews when driving through the area.
