Powerball jackpot at $1.7 billion

(CNN)–You have the chance to become a billionaire this Christmas.

There were no Jackpot winners in Monday’s Powerball.

That means the grand prize for the game’s next drawing, on Christmas Eve could be $1.7 billion.

While no one hit the jackpot, officials say a Lottery ticket worth $100,000 was sold in Newberry and a ticket worth $50,000 was sold at a Food Lion in Gaston.

Powerball said the jackpot has only been won on Christmas Eve once in the game’s history.
