City of Cayce Fireworks Ordinance

CAYCE, S.C. (WOLO)– As people ring in the new year, the City of Cayce wants to remind residents about the fireworks ordinance.

Officials say the discharging or shooting of fireworks within the city limits is permitted between the hours of 10 a.m. on Dec. 31, and 1 a.m. on Jan. 1.

The city also wants to give people firework safety tips.

Firework Tips:

1. Always use fireworks outdoors and have a bucket of water and hose nearby in case of accidents.
2. Designate a safety perimeter where onlookers, homes, and flammable materials can’t be hit with fireworks.
3. Supervise children when they are handling sparklers.
4. Never use fireworks when impaired by alcohol or drugs.
5. Please be considerate of all neighbors including veterans, pets, and small children.
