UPDATE: Man arrested after series of vehicle break-ins in Lexington

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington Police Department says a man has been arrested for a series of vehicle break-ins.

According to officers, Christian Long, 33, was arrested Friday morning with the assistance of the West Columbia Police Department.

Police said, the vehicle break-ins happened in the early morning hours of December 24, 2025, in a neighborhood off Augusta Road in the Town of Lexington.

Through the course of an ongoing investigation, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were able to place Long at the scene.

Also, investigators allege that he was involved in multiple thefts from unlocked vehicles and auto tampering incidents.

Again, police say Long has been taken into custody and faces multiple charges.
