American Airlines announces return of direct flights from Columbia to Chicago

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–  American Airlines has announced the company is restarting nonstop flights from Columbia to Chicago in May, says CAE.

According to Columbia Metropolitan Airport, the direct flight to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) will begin on May 21, 2026.

And will operate two flights a day, seven days a week.

The airline plans to utilize an Embraer 170, which is a regional jet with 65 seats and a First-Class cabin, according to CAE officials.
