Disney names new CEO

(CNN)– Disney has announced who will take over for Bob Iger as CEO.

That leadership role will go to Josh D’Amaro.

He’s the current chair of the company’s parks division.

That could be welcome news for investors who have watched Disney stock struggle for years.

The company is involved in several highly competitive spaces like streaming TV and movies.

However, its theme park division is seen by many as Disney’s rock.

It can typically be counted on to deliver profits when other divisions struggle.
