Columbia Police Dept. hosting a hiring event Tuesday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The Columbia Police Department is hosting a hiring event for those looking to make a difference in their community.

The event starts Tuesday, February 10 at the Busby Street Community Center, 1735 Busby Street, at the following times:

  • Session One: 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
  • Session Two: 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Officers will share details on job openings for the Police Officer Candidate and Class 3 Officer positions.

Pre-employment documentation will be required for candidates who wish to move forward.

The following documents are required:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • SSN card
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of high school diploma
  • Ten (10) year driving record
  • Credit report for a national credit bureau
