New Spotify tool syncs audiobook to real book

(CNN)– Spotify is launching a new feature designed to help readers finish more books.

Page Match syncs audiobook playback to the exact passage on the page whether you’re reading a hardcover, e-book, or listening on the go.

Users can scan a page with their phone’s camera and Spotify automatically jumps the audiobook to the same spot.

Scan again, and the app shows where to pick up reading in your hardcover or e-book.

Spotify says the feature works across most english-language titles and isn’t limited to a single device or book format.

It will be available to all users by February 23.
