UPDATE: Lexington deputies say missing elderly man found safe in NC

LEXINGTON CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Lexington County deputies say an elderly man who’s been reported missing has been found safely in North Carolina.

According to investigators, Norman Anderson, 86, was last seen Thursday morning by his wife leaving their home on N. Pond Court in Lexington.

He didn’t returned home after a morning service appointment at a local car dealership.

Deputies say his 2018 gray Honda Accord was last seen Thursday afternoon on camera systems in North Carolina near Interstate 74 west of Charlotte.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department’s PIO Adam Myrick says Norman was found safely in North Carolina and they’re working to get him home to his family.
