Camden man arrested in connection with argument over woman that ended deadly

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County deputies are investigating a homicide at an apartment complex, says the sheriff’s dept.

Deputies say the body was found near Lake Murray on Monday, Feb. 23.

The Lexington County coroner says 43-year-old Raynard Brewington was found shot to death in the parking lot near his apartment building on Lake Murray Boulevard.

42-year-old Brian Vincemichael Ashford who is from Camden is accused of going to Lexington County early Monday morning, and shooting Brewington to death.

Investigators say the two men had recent confrontations after Ashford discovered they both had a relationship with the same woman.

Ashford was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to arrest warrants.

He was arrested Wednesday night, Feb. 25, and booked into the Lexington County Detention Center early Thursday morning, Feb.26.
