Local Living: Go Red Heart Walk, Jump Start Your Heart Day Party, Cottontown Art Crawl, March for Meals

 

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Columbia’s City Manager Teresa Wilson is hosting the annual Go Red Heart Walk this Friday, March 6.

The walk starts at 10:30 in the morning at City Hall and ends at Finlay Park to raise awareness for the city’s Go Red Campaign and Heart Health.

You’re asked to wear red for the walk at the free event.

 

The City of Columbia will also host the third annual Jump Start Your Heart Day Party on Saturday, March 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Finlay Park.

The day party will feature a variety of free activities including health screenings, giveaways, health related exhibitors, workouts, pickleball demonstrations, and more.

There is no cost to attend.

 

The 8th annual Cottontown Art Crawl is back this Saturday, March 7.

The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the historic Cottontown neighborhood in downtown Columbia.

There will be 215 artists displaying and selling their works, plus food vendors, live music and more.

 

You can attend the 24th annual March for Meals event this month.
