RCSD investigating shooting after 1 injured

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Co. deputies are investigating a shooting after one person was injured.

Deputies responded to a call about a shooting on Monday night, March 9, 2026, around 6:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of Faraway Drive.

While responding to the call, deputies were flagged down on the 1900 block of Nearview Avenue for a residence that was hit by gunfire.

Also, while at the scene, deputies learned that multiple residences were hit by gunfire, and that a victim had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

Richland County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate the shooting.
