Apartment suffers significant damage after morning fire
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Early in the morning Columbia-Richland fire crews responded to a fire at an apartment building, say firefighters.

Around 8:45 a.m., 3rd shift Columbia-Richland Fire Department crews found heavy smoke coming from a 4-unit building.
One unit at the Woodland Terrace Apartments was showing heavy fire and also was showing the threat of it spreading further.
Officers at the scene called for a 2nd alarm.
Two of the apartments had tenants and all occupants made it out of the building safely.
Firefighters entered the structure and were able to contain the fire to one apartment and bring it under control, according to the fire dept.
Additional crews on their way to the scene as part of the 2nd alarm dispatch were called off due to the fire being extinguished.
No one was injured.
The apartment where the fire started suffered significant fire damages, says CRFD.
