SLED charges two following dog-fighting investigation

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Investigators with SLED say Jordan Price, 25, and Jamarcus Culp, 31, are both charged with Ill-Treatment of Animals and other charges related to a dog-fighting operation.

According to an incident report, on March 19 SLED agents responded to a location on McCords Ferry Rd. in Eastover where a dog fight was underway.

Investigators say the fight’s spectators all ran off but a cooperating defendant confirmed Price and Culp were at the fight.

SLED agents say Price also had a gun and a wad of cash at the time of his arrest.

Officials say the dogs were still fighting when agents arrived and had to be separated by law enforcement.

SLED says this is an ongoing investigation, if you have any information on this incident  contact SLED at (866) 472-8477 and/or email tips@sled.sc.gov.
