Columbia PD investigating after 65-year-old man shot, pronounced dead at hospital
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police are investigating a shooting after a 65-year-old man was shot on Wednesday night, say police.

The police department says CPD’s Violent Crimes Investigators are working leads to determine who shot a 65-year-old man in an isolated incident at Gable Oaks Apts. last night.
Around 10:30 p.m. on Weds, March 25, 2026, officers responded to a report of a shooting and found the victim.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced as dead from his injuries.
The Richland County Coroner’s Office has not of yet announced the man’s identity.
Law enforcement say evidence collected at the scene will be processed to aid the case.
