Driver crashes into Black Rooster restaurant sending two employees to E.R.

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — According to employees with Black Rooster restaurant just over the Gervais Street Bridge at 201 Meeting Street, a minor being pursued by law enforcement crashed into the side of the restaurant Friday night at high speed.
Video on the restaurant’s Instagram story shows the impact from the crash, with the back wall being blown into the restaurant — sending two employees to the emergency room.
Restaurant officials say everyone involved is okay and received “bumps, bruises, and shaken nerves.”
The trash enclosure and grease bin prevented the vehicle from making a worse impact, they say. “We now have a drive-thru window,” the post says.
The Lexington Police Department has not issued a statement regarding the incident at this time. Further updates will be provided on Black Rooster’s social media pages.
