SLED investigating Sumter Co. deputy-involved shooting
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– ABC Columbia received additional details of an officer involved shooting that happened in Sumter County on Sunday.
According to deputies, before 4:30 p.m. they responded to a domestic incident at a home on Rhea Drive near Mason Road where they saw an armed man and a woman shot on the ground.
Authorities say the man shot the woman again and then fired towards a deputy who then shot the gunman multiple times.
Deputies say the suspect is in critical condition while the female victim is in serious but stable condition.
SLED is investigating.
