Tough job market hits internships

(CNN)– Some college students say they’re struggling to land internships. A March rebound in job growth follows a large drop in February.

Internship struggles might go further back. Indeed reports postings were down in 2025.

Career site Handshake says applications per internship nearly doubled between 2024 and last year.

Zip Recruiter says graduates with work experience are much more likely to get jobs than those without it.
