Attorney Bakari Sellers & his daughter narrate ALF’s Bili the Brave Children’s Book!

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The American Liver Foundation is bringing its Bili the Brave children’s book to life with some special narrators!

South Carolina Attorney Bakari Sellers and his 7-year-old daughter Sadie narrated a new animated video of the children’s book about a brave lion named Bili, who’s a biliary atresia patient.

Sellers and his family spoke about the troubles Sadie went through as a biliary atresia patient and liver transplant recipient, all before the age of one.

Biliary Atresia is a rare, life-threatening liver disease in infants that causes bile ducts to become inflamed and blocked, causing bile to back up and damage the liver.

Children who have this endure several tests, a surgical procedure and may need a lifesaving liver transplant.
