Columbia Police investigating suspicious death, victim identified

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police say they are investigating a suspicious death.

Investigators say a body was found Monday afternoon in the 27000 block of Howell Court near Farrow Road.

The victim has been identified as Ciarra Howcott, 31, of Hopkins, SC.

Police say it has been confirmed that Howcott died as a result of a gunshot wound to the upper body area.
