United Airlines raises Summer fares by 20%
(CNN)– That summer trip may cost considerably more if you’re taking to the skies.
United Airlines is raising its fares by as much as 20% this summer.
CEO Scott Kirby says demand has remained strong, which means flyers are willing to pay the price.
He also said jet fuel costs are way up, and the airline needs to pass some of that expense to customers.
But Kirby also said prices likely won’t come back down even if oil prices decline.
