Former SC lieutenant governor nominated for U.S. ambassador to Belize

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A former lieutenant governor could soon be a U.S. ambassador.

This week the White House announced the president has nominated Andre Bauer to serve as the U.S. ambassador to Belize.

Bauer served as Former Governor Mark Sanford’s lieutenant governor from 2003 to 2011.

He also served in the South Carolina House and Senate.
