DHS rebrands ICE as ‘NICE’ in new video

(CNN)– The Department of Homeland Security is pushing a new message about Immigration and Customs Enforcement with a video showing ICE agents, acting nice.

The clip shows agents removing face coverings, and engaging in positive interactions with the public.

The video appears designed to recast the agency’s image, emphasizing community connections and public safety work.

This comes after President Trump floated renaming the agency to ‘NICE’ for National Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

That was in response to a conservative influencer who said the agency should be renamed so the media will have to call them ‘NICE’ agents instead.
