Columbia Police: 1 arrested in connection with Bailey Street shooting
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police say someone has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on April 30, on Bailey Street.

Honor James-Everette is being charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature (ABHAN), possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to investigators, James-Everette unlawfully presented a handgun and shot the victim in the shoulder on Thursday.
James-Everette is also accused of causing injury by means likely to produce death or great bodily injury.
During the incident, the victim returned fire and hit James-Everette in the leg, says CPD.
Both James-Everette and the victim were taken by Richland County EMS to Prisma Health Richland for treatment.
Investigators also confirmed that James-Everette has a prior conviction for strong arm robbery dated back to July 11, 2024.
The Columbia Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau – Violent Crimes Against Persons (CIB-VCAP 1) unit is continuing to investigate the shooting.
