Sumter business owners accused of selling alcohol without license
SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– The owners of a Sumter event center are accused of selling alcohol without a license.
Investigators with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) say on May 2, Vernice Sharper, owner of Zaddy’s Event Center sold an alcoholic drink to an undercover agent.
According to SLED, Sharper and Co-owner Cedric Williams are charged with failure to secure required beer or wine sale permit, unlawful sale, manufacture of alcoholic liquors and unlawful storage of alcoholic liquors in a place of business.
