UPDATE: Man charged for fatal shooting on Worthy Drive

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police have arrested a man for a fatal shooting on Tuesday.

Steven Pringle II, 33, is charged with murder & possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to investigators, a man was found shot multiple times on the 2000 block of Worthy Drive and later died from his injuries.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of yet upon notification to the next of kin.

At this time, investigators believe this was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Pringle is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
