Driver killed in collision on Macedonia Church Rd. Thursday

NEWBERRY CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a driver is dead following a collision Thursday night.

It happened on Macedonia Church Road at Long Road at 10 p.m.

According to Lance Corporal Brittany Glover, a 2005 Toyota Camry was travelling south, went off the left side of the road, striking a tree and a telephone pole.

The driver died on scene from their injuries.

The Newberry County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of yet.

This investigation is ongoing.
