Newberry Co. coroner identifies 66-year-old dead after collision
NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Newberry County Coroner Laura Kneece has identified the person dead after a sing-vehicle collision, says the coroner’s office.
The collision happened on Thursday, May 7, in the 6400 block of Macedonia Church Road in the Prosperity area.
The victim was identified as 66-year-old Leslie A. Ortiz of Prosperity.
An autopsy has been requested and will be performed next week, say officials.
The collision remains under investigation by the Newberry County Coroner’s Office, and SC Highway Patrol.
