Bicyclist struck & killed in overnight collision on Cannon Bridge Road

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Highway Patrol says a bicyclist was struck and killed in an overnight collision Friday.

It happened at midnight on Cannon Bridge Road near Riley Road.

According to Corporal Nick Pye, the bicyclist was headed north in the southbound lane when they collided with a 2001 Honda Sedan travelling south.

The bicyclist died from their injuries while the Honda driver wasn’t hurt.

The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity as of yet.

Highway Patrol is investigating this incident.
