Local Living: Summer at Edventure, Seniors and Caregivers Community Expo, Chili Cornbread Competition, Songbird Music Festival

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, you can kick off the Summer at Edventure Children’s Museum.

The annual Kickoff to Summer event is a fun-filled day packed with hands-on activities, games, food trucks and more.

It takes place Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $15.

 

The South Carolina Department on Aging is hosting the Seniors and Caregivers Community Expo in Saluda Tuesday, May 19.

It’s from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church on East Butler Avenue.

The first 100 attendees get a free lunch.

There will be several vendors, door prizes, and more. It’s free to attend.

 

Get your belly ready, Richland County Neighborhood Council is hosting its 3rd annual Chili Cornbread Competition this Friday, May 22.

It’s from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pine Grove Community Center on Piney Woods Road.

You can sample some tasty chili & cornbread, take part in wellness activities, win prizes, and more. It’s also free to attend.

 

Don’t miss the inaugural Songbird Music Festival May 30 through May 31 at Finlay Park.

The headliners for the event are Americana great Old Crow Medicine Show and Bluegrass Legend Sam Bush.

16 other local and national acts will also perform.
