Robot takes its last flight
(CNN)– If you are flying Southwest Airlines make sure you leave your humanoid robot at home.
Earlier this month, a humanoid robot named Stewie went viral after boarding a Southwest flight from Las Vegas, and was placed in a window seat.
Southwest Airlines has announced it will no longer allow human-like, or animal-like robots in the cabin or as checked baggage.
The carrier cited the lithium-ion batteries commonly used in the robots for the new policy.
The batteries have previously caused fires on planes.
