Lexington School District One making sure students access healthy food during Summer

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington School District One is making sure students still have access to healthy food once school is out for Summer.

The district says it will provide meals free of charge in June and July.

Meal pick-up will be available on June 3, June 10, June 17, June 24  and July 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Centerville Elementary School, 4147 Augusta Highway, Gilbert, 29054
  • Deerfield Elementary School, 638 Longs Pond Road, Lexington, 29073

  • Pelion Middle School, 325 Main Street, Pelion, 29123

Parents/Guardians can sign up for meal pick-up through ParentSquare during the following designated timeframes:

  • Sign up on May 28 through May 31 for June 3 pick-up

  • Sign up on June 4 through June 7 for June 10 pick-up

  • Sign up on June 11 through June 14 for June 17 pick-up

  • Sign up on June 18 through June 21 for June 24 pick-up

  • Sign up on June 25 through June 28 for July 1 pick-up

To ensure accurate meal distribution and the safety of students, parents/guardians must provide documentation verifying their relationship to the child(ren) if the children are not present at the time of pick-up.

Acceptable forms of documentation include:

  • Student(s) listed in ParentSquare App on mobile device

  • Student identification card(s)

  • Report card(s)

  • Birth Certificate(s)

  • Legal guardianship paper(s)

Please note these documents can be photos on your mobile device. You do not need to bring a physical copy.
