Oil prices rise, gas prices drop slightly

(CNN)– The cost of gas is down about two cents from Monday, May 25.

AAA says regular is averaging around $4.49 a gallon.

In South Carolina, the average price for gas is $4.08 a gallon.

Fresh U.S. strikes on Iranian targets appear to have pushed oil prices in the opposite direction.

Upticks were saw in WTI and Brent Crude early Tuesday, May 26, following attacks on boats and missile sites Monday.

Analysts say they emphasize the fragility of ceasefire efforts.
