Fatal shooting considered isolated as investigation continues, deputies say

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– Sumter Police say a fatal shooting is being considered as isolated as an investigation continues.

The shooting which police say is related to a domestic dispute happened on Tuesday, May 26, at about 5:30 p.m. inside a North Magnolia Street home.

Officers found Williams O’Neil Jr., 23, of Boulevard Road wounded.

O’Neil was taken to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital where he later died.

Police say, two other people suffered minor injuries and were treated.
