Kershaw Co. deputies searching for suspects after carjacking incident

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Kershaw Co. deputies are searching for suspects after a carjacking incident happened in the afternoon, say the sheriff’s office.

Deputies say the suspects were traveling in a separate vehicle when they struck the rear of the victim’s 2003 silver Honda Odyssey minivan on Cleveland School Road at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28.

After the collision, the suspects exited their vehicle, forced the victims out of the minivan at gunpoint, and left the scene in the stolen vehicle, according to deputies.

KCSO says the suspects’ original vehicle was disabled during the incident and has been recovered by authorities.

The victims were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries related to the crash.

The suspects are considered armed and dangerous, so people are asked to not approach them.
