Scam warning to Microsoft users
(CNN)– The FBI is warning about a scam that allows hackers to access Microsoft 365 accounts.
It involves a phishing-as-a-service platform called Kali 365 that popped up last month.
The FBI says targets receive emails impersonating a cloud-productivity or document-sharing service.
They contain device codes, and instructions to enter them on a real Microsoft page.
Doing so allows attackers to access a user’s account.
To prevent such scams experts suggest verifying email senders, and not clicking unfamiliar links or attachments.
