Day 3 of Midlands store-owner accused of killing 14-year-old trial
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The trial of a Midlands store-owner accused of shooting and killing a 14-year-old continued Friday.
On Friday morning, May 29, the state rested its case then it was the defense’s turn.
The first witness who was called to the stand was Andy Chow, the son of the accused, Rick Chow.
He described the moments leading up to the shooting death of Cyrus Carmack-Belton in 2023.
His testimony included this tense exchange with a prosecuting attorney regarding the events prior to the shooting.
The trial is scheduled to resume next week.
