Local Living: Congressman Jim Clyburn’s fish fry, Summer kickoff at Edventure, Songbird Music Festival, veterans creative arts festival
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Congressman Jim Clyburn is hosting his 34th annual world famous fish fry Friday, May 29.
Doors open at 8 p.m. at the Edventure Children’s Museum.
You can enjoy plenty of food, music, and much more.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and California Congressman Ro Khanna will attend.
It’s free and open to the public.
Congressman Clyburn is seeking an 18th term in office.
The fun at Edventure doesn’t stop there.
They are hosting their annual kickoff to Summer event this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The fun-filled day will be packed with hands-on activities, games, food trucks, and more.
Admission is $15.
The inaugural Songbird Music Festival hits the stage this weekend.
It takes place at Finlay Park this Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31, with both shows starting at 11.
The headliners are Americana great Old Crow Medicine Show and Bluegrass Legend Sam Bush.
16 other local and national acts will also perform.
The Columbia VA Medical Center is hosting the national veterans creative arts festival next month.
The event brings together more than 120 veterans and showcases their talents across music, visual arts, dance, drama and more.
It takes place June 9 through June 14.
All performances and art displays are free and open to the public.
