President comments on Evette's possible running mate
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – Late Friday, President Donald Trump took to social media to give South Carolina Lt. Governor Pamela Evette his endorsement in her run to be the state’s next governor.
In the post, the President called her an “America First Patriot” saying, “She never wavered, never let me down, and was the only South Carolina Gubernatorial Candidate to Endorse me as soon as I launched my 2024 Presidential Campaign. She crisscrossed South Carolina and other States for me, and I said, at that time, that this is truly something which I cannot forget.”
President Trump also referenced how Evette has worked with Governor Henry McMaster saying “…she has the Courage and Wisdom to deliver strong results for the people of her wonderful State, and our Nation.”
Evette reposted the endorsement on X, thanking President Trump.
The President rounded out his post by mentioning that he heard Gov. McMaster’s son, Henry McMaster, Jr. will be her running mate.
Gov. McMaster released this statement on President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette in her run to be the state’s next governor:
“Pamela Evette has worked every day to help move South Carolina forward. She has fought for our businesses and families, and she has earned the trust of leaders across the country. I am proud to see her receive President Trump’s endorsement and know that she will continue upholding the conservative values that make South Carolina the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
