K9 Fargo’s handler speaks about Fargo’s Law protecting K9’s
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – A bill aiming to protect those special animals serving our community has become law.
Fargo’s Law significantly stiffens the criminal penalties for harming or killing law enforcement K-9s and horses.
Curtis spoke with Richland County deputy Sgt. Warren Cavanagh, the handler of the law’s namesake K9 Fargo, who was killed in the line of duty in 2011, & Sally Foster, Executive Director of the SC Sheriffs’ Association about the importance of the new law.
