Local Living: SC Pride’s annual block party, Veterans Creative Arts Festival, Friday Night Laser Lights, Juneteenth celebration
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, SC Pride’s annual block party returns Saturday, June 6.
Outfest brings together community, culture, and entertainment for a full day of joy and pride.
There will be live music, a drag pageant, vendors, food, and more.
It takes place from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the 1100 block of Park Street in the Vista.
The Columbia VA Medical Center is hosting the national Veterans Creative Arts Festival next week.
The event brings together more than 120 veterans and showcases their talents across music, visual arts, dance, drama and more.
It takes place June 9 through June 14.
All performances and art displays are free and open to the public.
Friday Night Laser Lights return to the state museum this summer.
The first show is on June 19 and will feature music from Michael Jackson, Prince, and Queen.
In addition to the laser light shows guests will also be able to enjoy delicious food for purchase from a local food truck.
The Town of Irmo is hosting their 6th annual Juneteenth celebration.
The family-friendly event will highlight local historians, trailblazers, and community leaders.
You can enjoy food, vendors, a kids zone and more.
The event kicks off on Friday, June 19 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Moore Park.
Admission is free.
