New lawsuit aims to stop UFC fight on White House grounds
VIRGINIA (WOLO) — Two residents from Virginia are suing to stop next week’s UFC event from taking place on White House grounds.
The Public Integrity Project filed the suit on behalf of a Vietnam War Veteran and civic activist. They argue the structure built on White House grounds did not get Congressional approval or an environmental review.
The suit also says using the White House to stage a for-profit event will financially benefit UFC President Dana White and President Trump.
The Administration claims the event has Congressional backing as part of events to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
