1 Dead, 1 Injured in Eastover Shooting

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department say they are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at the 100 block of John Ammons Road in Eastover Tuesday afternoon.

Just after 3:00 p.m., deputies located two adult men suffering from gunshot wounds at the location.

One of the individuals was pronounced dead on scene. The other individual was transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment.

At this time, investigators do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community. The investigation remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
