Gamecock Trio Earns WNBA All-Star Status

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball alumnae Aliyah BostonAllisha Gray and A’ja Wilson are among the 22 players set to play in the 2026 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game on Sat., July 25, in Chicago at United Center. It marks the fourth-straight season the trio has been selected for the honor and makes South Carolina tied for the most alumnae selected.

Boston and Wilson were named starters, which was based on the combination of rankings by fans, the media and WNBA players. The reserves, including Gray, were selected by the WNBA’s 15 head coaches, who each voted for three guards, five frontcourt players and four players at either position, regardless of conference. Coaches were not able to vote for their own players.

Wilson, an eight-time All-Star, is the WNBA’s leading scorer this season with 29.0 points per game on 52.4 percent shooting. Her 9.4 rebounds per game are third best, and she leads the league with 2.0 blocks per game. In her fourth All-Star season, Boston is scoring a career-best 17.1 points per game on 50.4 percent shooting, and she ranks 10th in rebounding average (8.6) and is 12th in blocks per game (1.3). Gray is posting a career high with 18.5 points per game rank 13th in the league, helping her earn a fourth-straight All-Star nod.
