Mobile game gives players real life searches

(CNN)– A mobile game aims to inspire real-life searches for historical treasures.

June’s Journey puts players into 1920s New York and take on the role of an amateur detective to search for clues.

Now for a limited time they also can look for missing Revolutionary War artifacts.

They include an 18th century medal, a cannon, a military cap and an embroidered item.

The hope is that will inspire such hunts outside the game.

Players can submit their real-world finds to a Revolutionary War historian for review.
