SC among foreclosure leaders

(CNN)– Foreclosures across the United States have surged more than 20% in the past year with South Carolina among the nation’s leaders.

That’s according to new data from real estate data company Attom which defines foreclosures as default notices, scheduled auctions or bank repossessions.

Florida, South Carolina, and Indiana report the nation’s highest foreclosure rates overall.
