Sheriff Ravenell said 27-year-old Brandon Johnson has been charged with criminal sexual conduct, second degree.

“This individual is a predator, plain and simple, preying on the young,” the sherif says. “He should not be around children ever again.”

An investigation that began in Calhoun County revealed incidents that occurred in Orangeburg County, says Orangeburg County Sheriff’s investigators.

The female victim told authorities she had been sexually abused by Johnson.

If convicted, Johnson faces up to 20 years in prison.
