Sumter man charged for intentionally crashing vehicle
SUMTER CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Sumter County deputies arrested a man accused of intentionally crashing a vehicle on Monday.
Tathan Rabon, 22, is charged with attempted murder.
According to investigators, Rabon was given a ride by an acquaintance, when he took control of the steering wheel and crashed the vehicle on Boots Branch Road at 9:56 p.m.
Deputies say Rabon attempted to cause a fatal accident.
He was arrested after being released from the hospital.
Authorities say the driver is in critical but stable condition.
Rabon is being held at the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was denied.
