Congratulations Cocky!! Carolina’s beloved mascot in the Hall of Fame
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– It’s official! The University of South Carolina’s mascot Cocky is one of the all-time greats.
Cocky is part of the Mascot Hall of Fame’s Class of ’26.
The announcement was made Friday morning on ABC’s Good Morning America.
University officials say Cocky made his debut in 1980 and since then has become one of the university’s most recognizable ambassadors.
Other honorees include Goldy Gopher from the University of Minnesota and Cosmo from BYU, along with professional sports mascots Miles of the Denver Broncos and Mrs. Met of the New York Mets.
