Local Living: Vintage Market Days, SC State Fair ticket savings promotion, Okra Strut

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Vintage Market Days will head to the state fairgrounds this weekend.

The event features handmade items, clothing, yummy treats, family-friendly activities, and more.

It takes place Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The South Carolina State Fair announced its 250 minutes of saving promotion in honor of America’s 250 birthday.

Tuesday, August 25, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. you can purchase five admission tickets for $45 and ride vouchers for $33 each online.

The state fair takes place between October 15 and October 25.

The Town of Irmo is hosting their 51st annual Okra Strut next month.

Opening ceremonies will kick off at 6 p.m. Friday Night, September 25.

Then the fun continues through Saturday, September 26, at 9 in the morning with a parade followed by family-friendly activities.

It all takes place at Moore Park and is free to attend.
